My good friend Ron Zieder had an allis he bought that just didnt have enough power. We sent the cylnder head manifold and carbuerator to Gary and he made it a totally different tractor. Ron always wanted to take it to an NATPA pull but got sick and never was able to do so. I agree that the allis and h Farmalls would make it difficult for a Super C to stay with them. |

| Rons son Steven bought it Gary built a short block for the previous owner. when the previous owner installed it he put a head done from NAPA on it and a dennys carb. when they put the water pump on they used to long of a bolt and it put a dimple in the liner on the number one cylnder when steven started pulling it it knocked the rings out of number one and smoked like heck. Ron took it to his shop and I tore it down and found the problem and had a new sleeve made my Paul Marlett. I didnt even know of Gary Baker at that time. I believe it had 4020 John Deere liners in it. I rebuilt the Block and stuck the head back on it. Eventually I pulled the head and drove it to Garys a year later and he redone the head manifold and built a good carbuerator for it. It was a total different tractor then. Very good running tractor. I miss seeing it pull and going to pulls with my Friend Ron. He was a great guy and would do anything for anybody. |
