so compared to last year i can run higher gears pulling either tsled or stoneboat and im very happy with it. now im spinning out. on a stoneboat i can control it with bringing it to an idle and strolling along back to a rev but on transfer sled im spinning out when i have plenty of power left. im running a 14.9 titan on 12.5 rim. tires are 95% tread. if anyone thinks i can improve ina way please share your knowledge thank you

making it shorter will decrease his traction. since you're running out of traction, try sliding it back. you may need more weight up front if you do.

Sounds like you have to much tread.Cut or if you cant cut where you pull find some tires with about one half inch of tread.

i have my drawbar pretty short its actually just a eye hook hole on the horse shoe. im pulling in 3rd and 2nd most of the time and i cant run cut tires :/ but i am going to try a wider rim and maybe a less tread tire

Pinenut....With that sled you need to make your drawbar longer to transfer weight(traction) to your rear tires,Thats just the trick with that sled(from someone with 1000+ hooks on it)GVI is set up with a sliding drawbar, that tractor is so nose heavy and that sled is small.Pulled at the fair this year and slid it in for 6000 and lost the class, slid it out 4 inches in 6500 and made it another 10 feet...and didnt have time to throw the 500 pounds on!.....BALANCE

rich im not gunna run that sled till next spring. next pull is that big yellow one that was at ulster that i got a 2nd place in the 55. i could make a sliding drawbar. after this next pull im taking the tractor to my welding shop and making it my senior project. ill txt you on that tho. if i could run road gear i would but i dont have to much disposable income lol. these ideas are great. learning stuff everyday
