If any of you Pullers ever travel I-44 thru Amarillo Texas, I would highly recommend the Furrs Fresh Buffet just off exit 64. Best ever, in my books..

I always wanted to try that 72 oz Steak dinner..!!

The Cowboy Skillet/Dinner was great too..

I always like to stop at "Shipman's Cafe" in OKC..they had a Patent on their biscuits..!!
Not sure it is there anymore...
It was just East of the Agnew Exit, where 40 runs on the South side of the Interstate..(only a few blocks)..
The Truck Stop at Tucumcari, NM has a Great Mexican Plate..
Ever come into Albuquerque from the West, at night..??
What a Beautiful sight, as you drop off the mountain at night..!!
"Little America" on Flag was a nicer place to eat..but, the little restaurant on West, at the Bottom of the hill had better food..
We used to have to go down "Andy Devine Blvd", in Kingman..before the by-pass went in..
Used to run to San Bernadino every week, from Cincinnati..
Was almost like a "Smoky & the Bandit" thing..
Had an '83 Cab-Over KW, 4:11 and 13 over, with a Cat 1393 TA 425 hp, turned up ..
Tuesday evening, Cincinnati..Rancho Cucamonga Calif. Thurs. AM and back IN Cincy before 9:AM Sat..week after week..
That was 36 1/2 hrs out and 35 1/2 hrs back..actual time..I ran with the Boss..!
Ron..
