How much can I stroke a 1952 A without having to cut/reweld connecting rods or cut anything out of main case? I wanted to stroke it by 1 inch and use the aluminum high compression pistons but didn't know if I would have clearance without having to cut/reweld anything.

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see

8in with stock rods will clear the back of the case on a US-46 A's for sure. As far as the pistons I would have to look at my notes to be sure on the later block length as they are different, but they will work with the unstyled block length. Very minor clearence work is needed to make something like that swing, so a (assuming your adding only an inch of stroke) 7.75 should be even easier.

Good Luck!

Yes contact ray. As far as the rod bolts you can get rods that the bolts run sideways can't recall the name of them right now though

I may be wrong but from what I remember when I was relacing the pistons in my '45, the rod bolts(nuts) almost hit the rear of the crankcase already. If I were you I would contact Ray at Extremetractorparts.com about it. He will be straight-up with ya.
