What would it take to put a 504 in a 900?

I've seen a 70 series block in a 900 without an adapter plate, but it took a lot of time and money working on both flanges to get it done. The tractor will probably be at Tunica this year.

Would it be easier to put 504 sleeves in the 900 block then it would to make a 504 fit?

The problem there would be the heads. 70/90 series heads, or even 30 series for that matter, will not fit the 100 series block and the 100 series heads sure won't handle the extra compression and/or flow of 504 cubes. The 900 I know of with the 70 series block on it has had the normal bolt holes on the bell housing welded/filled and new ones drilled and tapped to match the 70 series block. When this tractor was originally built, no expense was spared. It's really a work of art. I hope to see it run at Tunica.
