Re: Moon Lake Threshermens pull in reply to tractor puller2, 08-09-2012 15:59:27
Our rules are pretty basic. No stripping parts to make weight, 20" drawbar height, no side shields(unless factory), must have working PTO,
tires no more than 2 sizes over factory,no 3rd links or chains on drawbar. Most of the rest are basic safety rules. speed limits are 3MPH for 35 & 4500, 4MPH for 55,65 &7500, 5MPH for 9000,10500,&12000
These rules do not apply to our "HOT" classes, except for the drawbar rules.

If you have any other questions give one of us a call. Thanks, Andy

Umm...ok....we've been ok to pull with 16.9's every other year. Did tire size rule change? Didn't know it was ever an issue-or is it? Just asking now so the sh*t doesn't hit the fan that day.

Yes, possibly know of a few....but even those are getting a little pricey in my eyes. Do you need pistons also? I have a few "connections" I can call, lol. E-mail's open.

Didn't mean to catch you off guard with that Dale. Our rules have not changed sense our first year.
Tire size, RPM's, among other rules are posted, but because of time and available help we cannot heavily enforce some of them. We will heavily enforce all safety rules.
Other than that we rely on our low speed limits to keep the playing field as even as possible.
I hope reading this doesn't discourage any new pullers from showing up. We have gone this route for the last 4 years, and we have had great feedback, and repeat pullers year after year.

Dale,If I didn't answer your question in my rambling above.....Bring your tractors, you won't be turned away. See you on Sunday. THANKS, Andy
