| we used a tether switch from a kids quad. we cut the tether off and put abig key ring on. This works real well. |

| use three-prong cord ends and use a big key ring on the end to hook to. The problem with trailer breakaways is they will short out the motor. |

| Like said below, just use a trailer break away switch. They are made to be in the elements and they fit tight so you do not have to worry about losing contact, or zip tying a electrical plug shut. Ground one of the wires, and run the other to the points side of the coil. When it is pulled, it grounds out the coil and prevents spark. |

| Go to tractor supply or a trailer dealer and ask for a trailer break-away switch. |
