| Pat, I would hi compression it, and cam it. If you aren't going to alter the compression or the cubes, I wouldn't bother with the cam. I have all of the above mentioned. |

| You can safely bore that to 0.250" over if needed. You won't see a diference in power from 5.625 to 5.75. If it's going to be dedicated to pulling, you really need to boost the compression. I have not seen a run of the mill "high compression piston" on E-bay that will get you any where near where you need to be to make HP.
You'll either need some rod mods, or some true high compression pistons. |

| If your going to get new pistons at least go .045 over. Putting a new set of high compression pistons in a 56 year old standard bore block wouldn't be smart.
Wouldn't go too crazy on cutting the head down and removing too much eyebrow unless your willing to run good gas. Remove too much it might detonate under load.
Pistons will more than likely run around $400 no matter what size .045-.125, they are on eBay for $430. A bore job will be in the neighborhood of $250.
Cam grind will run approx $200.
Go with .045 over pistons, deck the head to get a good head gasket seal and a good valve job. Send the cam and lifters to Berry Cams, you'll have a nice running 60. |

| You won't even see the difference on the dyno between a 60 with true round stock sized bore. Vs a 60 with a 45,90 or 125 overbore. Spend your $$$ on some high compression pistons, valve/seat/port work and the cam.Milling the intake's eyebrow down to match the contour of the cylinder head helps too. |

| Only 45 over to true the bore to round. Odds are the factory bore is too egg shaped to seal a new piston/ring set. You won't see any power difference between 45,90 and 125. A 60 block without cracks is getting tough to find. Why take yours right from to 125 from stock and leave nothing for the future? |
