I have a couple of them and they work great except for some automotive finishes. I don't care for their HVLP gravity sprayer. It comes in handy for touch up where I'm mixing a small batchs of catalyzed paint but it should be called a low volumn regular pressure gun. [Reply]   [No Email]

HVLP is far better than the old spray guns, particularly for someone who has not painted. Very easy to adjust, less overspray, if you accidently run out of paint it just stops and doesn't squirt paint all over everything you just painted. I have not had problems painting the underside, either. With a good compressor the air volume is not a problem, you should be able to find one to match your compressor. Mine puts out 15 psi at 90 psi, much more at spraying pressure. Unlike others, I don't buy cheap guns, the more expensive ones are considerably better. But, you won't know that unless you compare them. [Reply]  [No Email]

I bought a couple of the purple harbor freight guns just to primer with and later I bought that professional gun cause I had a coupon for it...and it lays down as nice a finish as the W400. But I highly recommend getting rid of the plastic cups and putting an aluminum cup on them and check the air cap on the gun before you buy it. Some of them the holes in the air caps are drilled off. Sharpe Cobalt for surfacers with a 1.8 tip. I can tell the smoother finish with the Sata vs the Sharpe platinum. [Reply]  [No Email]
