Hardener will not reduce fading as it does not have any UV inhibitors. Clear coat will, but you run the risk of lifting the paint as there is no clear specifically designed for alkyd enamel. Although, several have had success. 2150 is "supposed" to be an "acrylic modified" acrylic enamel, so the current version should have some UV protection. If you are satisfied with the finish, I would leave it as is. Wax it occasionally, that will restore the color and slow the fading.
