BF Avery Model A carburetor.

My BF Avery Model A tractor has a Tillotson YC10A carburetor. But, there's a screw on top of mine, in the machined flange, that appears to be for an adjustment and it isn't shown on the Tillotson specification. Under the screw is a spring. There is also a small orifice. It seems to me that a part is missing like a metal ball for under the spring. Does anybody know what this screw and spring is for and if there should be a ball under the spring? Was there a variant of the YC10A?
