I have always thought Nuffield tractors were all diesels. However, this guy at work has a four cylinder Nuffield tractor that has no spark. Has anybody heard of one of these beasts, and/or know anything about them? Thanks for any help! |

| I believe its a Nuffield 4/25, a small tractor about Ford 8N size that became the Leyland 154. 4 cylinders, 25 horsepower. |

| | If it has battery ignition with points and an auto type coil you need to use a volt meter to see if there's battery voltage on both small terminals of the coil with the points open. Your ignition switch needs to be on when checking this. If you have voltage at the coil clean the points with some 320 wet or dry until shiny. Then see if the engine will start. If has a magneto make sure the kill switch is in the run position as this can can be grounding out the points. Clean the points with some 320 wet or dry. Hal |
