I have an Earthmaster tractor with an Autolite GAS 4169A generator. Which post is the armature and which one is the field? I plan to replace the voltage regulator and neither is marked. The ammeter usually registers 30 amps, so I thought the regulator may be at fault. Larry |

| If the engine is still running you can use a volt meter to see which terminal has voltage. That would be the armature. There should be a letter A stamped into the case by one of the post's or the letter F. Hal |

| Yes, you are correct. I do see the A under the terminal. Thanks. Have a good weekend. Larry |

| They're not that easy to see, but if you're looking for them they can usually be found. Glad you found it. Hal |
