Hi , I have been at a standstill for some time with my Nuffield 1060 tractor , I can see that I need to replace a turnbuckle for my clutch to work properly , I have enough apart to see the problem , but I am not sure that my skills will be enough to make this repair on my own. If I deceided to sell this tractor I was wondering if someone could tell me what it would be worth in this condition? Or if anyone knew if there is someone near Harriston, ontario that does on site tractor repair . Any input on this matter would be appreciated . THANKS IN ADVANCE. |

| | give McGavin's in Walton a call for repair or price to sell 1-877-887-6365, 50 years selling/fixing those things - depending where the turnbuckle broke you can just unscrew it and screw in a new one almost, now, that said, if the end closest to the engine broke the clutch will have to come out to be repaired, but that is not too big a job really, just a Lot of bolts |

| I believe you'll find it's an 11 inch Borg & Beck clutch as used in Chevy trucks in the mid to late 60's. You don't have to split the tractor to change it as everything comes out through the top. Not difficult, just time consuming! Check out " Nuffield and Leyland tractor club" on Google, There is a wealth of information there. |

| For what its worth in my old Hotline Farm Equipment Guide dated 1993. Of course more info would be helpful such as the overall condition, serial number, and year of mfg. Appartently that model was produced between 1964 through 1966 has a 10/2 transmission, weight 5,255 lbs. and cost (US)$4,450 new. In 1993 the auction price for this make and model was (US) low - $588 high - $1,638 & Average - $1,113. Hope that helps ! |
