Getting ready to paint my 85 year old father's 1952 Oliver 77 diesel. I've lined up a pro to do the hood, side panels, etc. He has suggested a local farmstore, Bomgaars, to buy the paint. Bomgaars sells the Van Sickle paint the the pro has very good success with. Van Sickle has a paint that says on the can for pre 1952 Oliver tractors. I think this is the correct color but not sure. But I'm guessig at what would be the correct color for the yellow and red. Any help is much appreciated. |

I agree with Jordan. Lyle Dumont has all the color codes, decal placement spots. He also has the proper decals. http://www.oliverdecals.com/ |

| Are their decals like the ones that leave the whole big clear rectangle or do theirs leave just the numbers and letters? |

| Their decals are die-cut and do not leave the rectangle. They are very good quaility. WB<><. |

| i am not sure on that green, the can should say pre-1951 not 52, in fact i know that pre paint is not right. with that in mind you may want to list the serial number so we are sure then if it is a 52. you should contact dumont musuem for the name of a paint brand i can't remember, the post 51 green van sickle provides has changed so much it doesn't look like the original anymore, it almost looks like a john deere. dumont would also know what to use for the yellow and red. |

| I have just restored a '52 model 88 that was originally dark green. I have had another '52 88 and a '52 66 the same way. All had factory disc brakes. |
