I bought a new hydraulic pump from this site and it bolted up fine but when i went to hook up the lines all the ports were different sizes. i bought some adapters and the lines hooked up fine but the suction tube from the filter housing does not fit. I have a 2-155 that has this same pump and i understand that all the bigger tractors had this pump from the 1850 through the 135-55 tractors. I called the distributor and they told me i should go to a hydraulic shop and have a fitting made. I need help/advice from those of you that may have run into this problem and what you did to fix the issue.

Yes, it is too bad that many people selling this stuff do not know what they are doing, then they act like its your fault things do not fit.Where going thru a dealer?Even an agco dealer has access to after market stuff and would(should ) be able to ensure correct fit.

the hyd pumps were not the same thru out like you think, there were different pumps depending on how old the tractor is.also there was a different size tube that fed the hyd pump.the difference was in the length not diameter.if the return line is on the face of the pump it is an older style.if it is on to of the pump it is newer style

The pump is the same as the one on155. Got a new tube but came with no fitting. Headed to hyd shop to pick up machined fitting. Surprised just how little folks know about what they"re selling. Very frustrating experience. Unecessarliy plugging up shop for 13+ days.

Did you call Jerry from that link I gave you? Unless somebody knows different, the only way that cast pump will replace the original aluminum pump will be of you can find that case drain line at a salvage yard.

I haven't run into your problem, but could you take the pump to a place that specialises in hydraulics, and ask them what kind of threads are on it? Maybe it's millimeters.
