Have a chance to buy one from my grandfather. He bought it new in 1976, 36 footer with a Lindsay 3 bar harrow. Wants 500 dollars for it. Hasn't been used for 20 plus years. Anybody on here had any experience with one. Any input would be appreciated thanks, Dan |

| well i am between the other two replies. if it is in decent shape with good to ok shovels and the hydraulics work then i wouldn't think twice for paying $500 for 36 ft cultivator. however if it requires some work like new shovels, hoses, and repairing the frame then its only worth scrape because it would cost over $1000 for the repairs. |

| Like a buddy of mine said to me last week- 285/485's are worth their weight in scrap and thats about it. I think those field cultivators are next to worthless- I rebuilt 2 of them and I got $550 for each of them. I personally won't buy another one unless its got decent shovels and the rest would go in for iron. Just my thoughts... |
