Standard crank is 1.747/1.748, Bearing clearance IS .001-0035. Do you have poured rods or insert type rods? You might be able to line bore the poured rods to make it work. Was this the Military ER version? They have different diameters cranks? |

| 'Do you have poured rods or insert type rods'? You got me there. This is an engine that was rebuilt, than ran 3 years and threw a rod. It was stuck when I got it. I just freed it up. Block looks good. Crank looks good. I'm (foolishly) thinking of putting a new rod in it and going with it. If crank is within tolerance I don't see why not. That would give me a chance atleast to check out anything else on the tractor to see if its worth sinking the money into it. The guy I got it from said it never knocked. Looks like the rod bolt just broke. It don't look like the rod hit the bearing area when it did. I know the best thing to do is to pull it out and go thru it. It is in an Oliver Cletrac HG68 |
