Here are a couple pics I took while discing corn stalks this past weekend. Tractor is an Oliver 1850 diesel with duals and the disc is a 14' Oliver 253. The gang angle is set in the middle of the three adjustment holes. This was my first time discing corn stalks and I thought it did an ok job overall, considering my 253 is more of a finish disc with 7.5 inch blade spacing. I cut at a slight angle to the rows and ran in 4th direct at 2100 rpm doing 5 mph. Enjoy! http://i46.tinypic.com/28up5c6.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/2hmgdoo.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/v78bwz.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/ht70ox.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/16bf3uq.jpg |
