needing a good governor for a 4-53 GM does any body have one had a mech. refab a bearing in my old gov. now cant get the rack to set right we have tryed 12 times now couldnt get the idel to come down fast it would come down slow he got it to work right once went to put the valve cover on anit was hiting the rack ??????????? |

| Does your mechanic have the 2 pages out of the 53 series shop manual for adjusting the governor on inline tractor engines as the book states. |

| I thought of a couple other things. One, there should be a tag on the govenor. There should be some letters on the tag. What letters are on that tag? Two,in what sequence did your mechanic do the basic tune up? You need to do that in the correct order. |

| the gov. tag is SW-VS & range 500 min & governor #5129817 yes I have an IT manual the sequence I think he followed it but he dunn it so many times and I think different ways I am not sure he dunn alot of stuff trying to get it right he lost me he tryed 10 or 12 times over a 3 day . |
