My hands have been too dirty to hold a camera.
When I got in to it,the block was pitted, one piston was cracked, another one was beat to heck on top,so I had to go with new pistons and sleeves. I JB Welded the pits in the block. Need to get those smoothed out this morning. The new parts came yesterday.
The bottom bearing was bad in the steering box. Got that back together last night.
I took the plate off the bottom to adjust the PTO clutch because it wouldn't go over center. One finger off the pressure plate layed in the bottom,so I had to split it. My son took it to Clutch Dynamics yesterday to get it fixed.
I think it's finally starting to go the other way and look like a tractor again. When I put the seat and steering wheel back on yesterday I told the wife it didn't look quite so much like she'd lost her azz and didn't have anywhere to turn now.

I'll get some pictures as soon as I get it running and roll it out of the shop, before I start any body work on it. I at least want it back to looking like it did when I got it instead of a pile of parts.

I'm going to re-do my 550D this winter- unless you're continuing drama on the 55 talks me out of it! Nothing drastically wrong- but PTO makes a bad sound when you engage it, fuel lines leak, needs rebuild on lift pump, power steering pump needs rebuild, top seal on steering box is leaking, starter not turning fast enough, etc., etc. Just kind of an accumulation of stuff to do.

For some reason the guy's at Oakley haven't called and told me to come get that Super 55 I bought a ticket for. So I guess I'll refurbish my own 55 this winter. By the time I finish harvest and get my fall plowing done it's usually close to Christmas, so I'll wait till January to start.
