I just bought a super 77 diesel. I notice it has a pop in the exhaust that comes and goes. It is really noticable when idling. I had it under a load at full rpms and i notice a little less but i could hear it. They tractor to seem to have plenty of power and starts decent, but my lift pump is starting to leak.

The gentlemen I bought it from said he hasnt use it in a while or worked it. I trying to figure it out if its a valve, fuel problem, injector, or anything else. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks

Which pump? If it's a Roosa, probably has a broken governor ring in the pump. Time for a rebuild if it is.

Well to start with take the exhaust manifold off. Get some ear protection and start the tractor. see which port(s) puffs of smoke come from. Find one that does not have the smoke puffs and swap those two injectors. Restart it and see if the miss stayed with the injector or the cylinder. Start there. Next I would check my valve clearance and see how much oil flow you have at the rocker arms. 50+ years ago when I started some farmer did not use the best oils and there were problems with exhaust valves sticking on those engines as well
