I gotta make up a bracket for mounting the control box for our new chopper on our 1855, but I can't just drill into the fender because of the fuel tank fenders. Anyone else have to do this? I'm just wondering what you guys did. I could possibly bolt something onto the ROPS, although I was thinking about making something that comes off the platform.

Just holding the box about where I want it, I'm thinking a little bit ahead of the levers for the hydraulics, above and closer to the fender so it doesn't impede the hydraulic levers.

What have you guys done? This is a 3 switch control box for a New Holland 892. Looks like it slips into an SMV bracket.

we made a L shaped bracket that bolted to the back of the seat on a JD, worked great.

Well I made up a bracket today that bolts to the base of the fender. The magnet I had wasn't strong enough for the size of the box so I made something up with some stuff we had laying around and painted it.

The monitor for my Gehl round baler is also held by a magnetic bracket. I've never had a problem as long as you don't let a tree branch wipe it off the fender.

You just may have something there...

I've got whats left of a magnetic trailer light that kissed the road. That magnet should hold the control box. Just gotta remove it from whats left of the light and check it out.

What about one of those bigger flat magnets that that have bolt hole in the center that you could make a bracket off of that for the control box, or make a bracket and glue some magnets on the underside of the bracket and stick on to the fender.
