I tried to start my 660 to haul to a show last Saturday and the lift pump would not supply fuel to the injection pump. The tractor had not been used for four months. I hauled another one to the show and tried the 660 again and she fired up and hauled her to the show. Of course it would not go when I got there. Hauled it back home and pulled off the transfer pump. The bowl and pump in sides were full of brown gunk, and nasty to clean out. I think this crud is from some bio diesel we had a few years ago. Should I drain the tank and put in fresh diesel? Is there something I can put in the fuel tank to help clean this out and prevent the same problem in the future? I don't want to do this again. |

| yes there is an algicide you can ad to the fuel to kill this stuff and i would reccommend doing it sooner than later. I had a sprayer that it got so thick on the tank sides it would flake off and plug the outlet hole. had to cut a hole in the top of the tank and scrap it out then weld tank back shut |
