are 77 and 770 transmission gears the exact same? if the bushings in the reverse idler gear and the bevel pinion shaft gear were worn, would this increase the gear whine? thanks, chuck

| Chucksoliover: The transmission gears are the same part numbers for the 77, Super 77 & 770. This was common for the Ag industry, the JD late "B', 50, 520 & 530 tractors for example all used the same gears. |

| john, if both tractors had the same trans. codes would the gears be the same including 1st through 6th and R1 and R2? thanks, chuck |
