I just got my 1750 Oliver Diesel home and discovered the block is cracked where the liner seats. The 1750 I bought is a basket case and the disambled motor got rained on while it was sitting for several years, the head has injectors that are rusted severaly as well and the front grill was missing as well as the input shaft. Does anybody have a bare block or know what the going rate is for one, I would be interested in a complete rebuildable block with head or a good runner if anybody has one. I am in south texas and bought the Englebert Kraueitz 1750 in Karnes City,Texas it was picked pretty hard before i got it and needs sheetmetal and lots of misc, does anybody have a parts tractor that would sell? How much will a used tractor yard charge for a bare block, a complete rebulder, or a good runner, does anybody still stock rebuilt long blocks for 1750's? What machine shop can set up linners and check out the crankshaft for a 1750 Oliver as well as rebuild the 1750 diesel head with all new valves and springs keepers etc etc?? Does anybody sell rebuilt oil pumps for the same as well?? How about camshafts too, mine is missing as well. How about a rebult hydra power and rebuilt injectors as well?? Where would you guys go to for parts and machine shop in Texas?? Do dealers still have the linner kits with the updated pistons and retainers?? |

I have a good 310 block.Asking $650. I found a piece of construction equipment that had a 310 in it to put in my 1750. It was a galion asphalt roller. It was low hrs and alot newer than what i had.

you might want to look into the 5.9 cummins for a repower, this is becoming quite popular in the oliver world.the price would be about equal in the end ,and the conversion is offered in a kit by a few suppliers.there has been a lot of threads on here about this and if you do a search your sure to find lots of information on the subject,

I aree with rrlund. Have worked on, bought and sold Oliver and White tractors for over 30 years. Unless this tractor has sentimental value or you have deep pockets slow down and step back. This project could be done. But, you would have more in it than you could buy a running 1750 for. Step back and slow down list everything you need for parts and price out. Add something for your time and I think you will have your answer. If you are not similiar with parts prices and availability, several people on this forum can help you.

WOW! Is there anything that's right with that tractor? With a laundry list like that,it would have to be a pretty special family tractor or something to make it worth putting the money into it that it's gonna take. I'd be looking for a running tractor and a boneyard to take that one off my hands. They're not that valuable a tractor anyway.

Cracks between the liner seats at the top deck are not unusual and they are not fatal. The head gasket seals that area. Cracks down at the bottom where the o-rings seal are a problem. This subject has been covered many times before, and that is the general consensus.

| | I have a complete block, head, and most of an engine that Iwould sell. Injector pump just had $700 in it, so these can be pricey engines. I might have one that needs to be rebuild if interested. |

Please tell more about the engine, list of parts and some pictures, etc, thanks for actually listing what you have for sale and a price, where are you located. To anybody else please dont respond unless you have prices or parts for sale or know where a good texas machine shop is, stay away from me with negative posts, some people would rather have a tractor they have gone thru personally and inspected and repaired or rebuilt, git a grip, have you priced a new 80 hp tractor lately, a rebuilt Oliver is a bargin and its remade in the USA by me!!!! I am still waiting to see if the rest of the parts that are missing on my tractor can be found, my block was bad bad cracked and the o ring grove is rotted and rusted out. I am going to call some tractor junkyards and keep looking for another dead 1750 and or some kind of motor for one, thanks to all who posted prices and stuff for sale and where to look.

Missing parts, For a fellow that is asking for parts, service and advice ,your comments will drive away most of those that are willing to help. Your comments sound like -tell me what I want to here and don't bother me with the best info. The deck on the block is repairable , I have done several (other brands), the lower bore is also very repairable ,block repair bushings are available for most engines, and if not they can be made . I have made some and installed some that were purchased. I may have an oil pump , but with your attitude I'm not going to shovel the 45 or 50 inches of snow to go look. I am an automotive machine shop , WD for clevite parts ,and do quite a lot of cast iron repair. I like waukesha engines , but also know that if you put in the 5.9 you will have a very good tractor. george

Thanks for the post up, price, condition and location will ship???? New pumps are around $900, do you know if parts are available to rebuild the old oil pump? I h.ave located several 310 blocks both cooler and non so far and the best machine shop in texas, my block is not economically repairable. I may go with the newer block and required head gasket and head changeover, waiting on my old 1750 head to get checked out by the shop. Thanks for the parts reply. Can you take a picture when the snow melts enuff to get to your barn?
