12V Battery for an N

What 12V battery best fits in a N and what vehicle application would I ask the parts store for to get it?

I have been using irrigation batteries or I put a new battery in my old 1987 GM car. Then put the old battery in the tractor. My car has a side post only battery. I have to use top post adapters to make it work in the 9n. Right now I have a 8 year old carquest battery in the 9n I took out of the car in 2012.

while todays brand new vehicles probably have some made in Mars, dealer only type battery.....
Buying batteries for my tractors, I always just buy the one that fits my truck.....just in case. Ford tractors have a pretty good tray, I've never had a gas truck one not fit in there.

Like Dell said, in a air freshener, floormat, type auto store
when you get the 'what vehicle' question,
my standard answer is..."I'm making something"....no vehicle.
ya got to be careful to never use the word tractor in those stores.

That's no fun. I enjoy the look of total bewilderment that I get when I tell them it's for a 1941 Ford 9N ;-)

Stopped to get the oil changed once in my Chevy LUV and the guy said "What kind of car is that?" The older guy next to him knew and told him.
