12 Volt Conversion Completed and Clutch question

This is a shout out to all who posted back a few weeks ago when I was seeking advice about converting my 6 volt to a 12 volt on my 8N. I did the work yesterday and she is now running.I purchased the kit from YT and have no complaints. I did not need the balistor resistor as I opted for the Penatonix 12 volt coil which gave me the required resistance without it.I replaced the spark plugs and points and condenser as well. The tractor sat for over a year and when I hopped on and put her in gear I found that the clutch was not operating so it was a little hairy for a minute. Any thoughts on what I should do to check the clutch situation? It was the end of the day so I did not get into it yet. Thanks to all again for your good advice and assistance.

By clutch not working, I assume you mean the clutch
is stuck. As in stuck to the flywheel. That happens
when the tractor sits. Block the clutch down for a
few days and try again.

Do you mean the clutch does not disengage?
If so, it probably stuck to the flywheel.
Lots of ways discussed here in the archives to free it.
One common way is to drive it around with the clutch pressed
down and hit the brakes. Providing you have room to do it safely.
