12ft. disk value

Kind of hard to say as it depends so much on condition - ie, bearings, disc wear, and if it is a wheel disc, does it come with the lift cylinder, etc.
Did you check craigslist to see if there are similar ones in your area?
I just did a search on our local CL and there are several 12-14' discs for sale but prices vary quite a bit from one unit to another.
What would you be pulling this with?
I'm thinking it would require a 60 or so hp tractor with remote hydraulics to pull something like that.

Thanks for the reply Ultradog. The disk is just an old one that has two tires, no hydraulics and manual lift. The old style, far as I can tell the bearings and disks are good, nothing broken. Thanks Larry

If you go look at it bring a block of wood and a 4X4 or 2X6 along. Use them as a lever to lift the gangs by the frame one at a time to check for slop in the bearings.
Worn out bearing will have a lot of up and down 'wiggle' which you can easily see when you lift it.
Lets you know what the condition is and lets the seller know you're not just some hapless fool who's easy to take advantage of.

Thanks for the info. I was incorrect when I said it was a manual lift. The owner said it did have a hyd. cyc., but it is not on it now. It s a JD disk. I would think I could find one to install on it or just adapt a similiar one on it. Larry
