I am looking for a source for spring seeds.

Looks like HEMP is the way to go for re-enactor fabric. Especially during the warmer season, here.

Would appreciate any responses.

THANKS in ADVANCED TRAINING.

John,PA 9N purpose.

J-PA During the big one, that is WWII they were growing it in IA for rope due to the Philippines having been taken over by some uninvited guest it grows wild in the road ditches. PS I heard our Constitution is written on hemp paper, its what I heard.

yep the news says "Hemp products can legally be sold in the United States, but the hemp must be imported from other countries."

which is a bummer because i wanted to grow it for my step daughter because she does hand made crafts and has to always order it and pay shipping. so i was going to grow it here :(

Back in the '70's I lived in a small burg in the interior of B.C. (hippie days-cops NOT any kind of forgiving). An elderly farmer lady (deed dated 1886) was growing hemp to provide shade for her chickens (and had been doing so for her whole life). Dumbaxx cops got involved, tore up her plants and charged her. Total area uproar !! It made the Vancouver Sun newspaper and the end result was the cops had to replace her plants and were sued for an undisclosed amount. Legal in Canada! Make you cough if ya smoked it -no buzz.

For years I had "wild cotton" growing along the grass runway at my family's airstrip, here at W05.

Seems like 'dem hurricanes down there can really pollute our CLOVER, 3&4 leaf type.

So, since I just returned from the National Headquarters for NOAA, and while there, I had a chance to SEE for SHORE just what those Phd. Scientists put on their waiting room televisions, WOW, WOW,WOW.

So, I just can't help the next nemo's damages to my LETTUCE patches. HEMP is already on order. 1-BOLT's worth.

So, like always, this poor farmer stands a chance to be in FEDERAL PRISON if caught with some seeds! ;0)

You-all have a good one.

Looks like some states are legalizing industrial help growing. Here is a recent article regarding Vermont's efforts and I just read something about Kentucky doing the same thing.

Well, like 'dis:

I need some more sail cloth from some old tall ship. Gonna start making model of USS CONSTELLATION.

I have a 9.9 Johnson and Johnson engine.

Should be big enough salvage material to make some more "PERIOD CLOTHES" fer upoming 150th anniversary stuff. GETTYSBURG. They finally figgered out about the 35,000 JIFFY johns for the expected 4,0000 tourists this year.

So, before the gov't reg's change, I better get on with it! SAIL CLOTH for COLUMBUS's NINA.
Did a tour of duty on HER. Pensacola, FL.

Thanks for another idea. ILLEGAL ALIEON.

John

I believe hemp is still illegal in this country. They grow it in Canada and some in Congress are trying to legalize the fiber type here in the US.
Side note. Henry Ford wanted to use hemp oil as a fuel for his Model T.
