Congrats on the rebuild Lisa. Glad it went well. We would love to see some pictures when you get a chance..
On the timing cover gasket leak, have you tried to tighten the nuts (bolts) with the engine warm. Sometimes it helps and the price is right. Just don't get carried away.
Otherwise just live with it (all N's mark their territory) or break out the wrenches and pull the front end again. If you go that route, I would use a CNH gasket. Not much more money and you know you got a good gasket. I'm also a fan of Permatex Black RTV, but never use it on a cork gasket. Remember a little goes a very long way. |

| I will bring the camera with tomorrow and take a few pics. We haven't painted it yet and still have to throw the hood on and new fuel line, had some other project come up had to get done!. It has oversized tires on the rear 14.9x26 which we will replace sometime before I put it to work with 11's. Tin is actually pretty good so I think once we take the plunge to get her blasted and painted she will look real nice. I haven't tried tightening the bolts up more on the timing cover as one was stripped out and we had to re-thread the hole. I think we may just live with it it's not a bad leak. |
