I am just wondering if anyone can give me some insight on why a distributor would break around the shaft that goes up against the engine. It seemed to me that it was bolted up correctly and fit in the shaft. I noticed when I turned over the tractor the entire assembly was moving. I removed it and it was broken and the cam was loose. |

| Front mount distributor??? If yes sounds like some one forced it back on when the off set tang was 180 out so yep broke the distributor. Common problem if you force it to fit |

| Yes. Front mount. My mistake. Looked right but guess not. I thought they would only fit one way. I found a used one on EBay. A lesson learned. Thanks. |

| Yes they only correctly fit one way but it forced they will sort of fit and then you tighten down the bolts and you break them |
