.... just took my ford 600 Genny for rebuild... bearing bad in front plate.... knew it was going... SoundGuy had told me that 6.5 volts was low.... Genny started making bad noise.... shut down immediatley...as to avoid further damage... will cost about $45.00 from local guy to do.... will put out 7.1 volts when finished :) Arm. is good... no damage from being "out of line"... due to not running machine after noise was heard....
... need new PTO shaft for this machine also... as spline is bent.... |

| ... I know some of the 9n and 8n generators had a 'high/low" adjustment.... this one does not... is there any credence to an adjustment in voltage regulator on a ford 640?
just curious |

| Quoting Removed, click Modern View to seeYes, VRs are adjustable. Joe Shadetree will not normally be successful in adjusting attempt, but a knowledgeable generator man can do. If he has both your VR & generator he will likely deliver as promised. :) |

| JMOR... he is going to fully tet genny after done... 2 brush system appeared to be fine, but hey, I am not a generator expert... I am sure I will know more "beyond" my reasoning, once he looks at it... lol |

| Whenever I have a generator repaired, I also take the VR so the shop can test that also. |
