Thanks again for your help everyone. Oh...one more thing- I have had carb trouble forever- thing rusts like crazy in Florida humidity...just had a master rebuild of it...and it was sand blasted and acid dipped...started her up, a couple of adjustments and it runs MUCH better...wonderin about a timing issue though...while running at a good pace in second or first, when i throttle down she back fire- not every time, once in a while...and 3rd gear it has no power and takes forever to "ramp up" and go... what do you think? As for timing refresh my memory what are you working on?? If it is a front mount distributor not likely to be a timing problem but could be a point gap problem. Points need to be set at 0.015 and be sure to check it on all 4 lobes [Reply]  [No Email]
