That I have a big tractor with a cab and 8' blower. With 10" on the ground and supposed to keep up till sometime in the morning I wouldn't want to have to plow snow with the rear blade on my N.

Colin I'm pretty good with carbs. When I get a shcnce to get over your way I'll take a look at it for you if I have enough time.

That'd be great! You and I are in the same boat time-wise.

We're off to the Sustainable Farming Association of MN meeting this weekend. We're doing a table for a local producer co-operative here in town.

Stay warm and get that snow moved :-)

I didn't want to mess up the paint job on the 2N...

So I did our driveway with a very cranky little Toro snow blower tonight. Our 8" was about all it could handle. I can't, for the life of me, get the float set correctly on it and it either floods or stalls. But it sure beats shoveling by hand, which I've done many a time.

I am also very happy that we didn't get any of that
white stuff. 62 degrees and raining in Missouri
today.

I'm not even going to fire the 1206 up until the snow stops. Don't have anyplace I can go. My dive goes onto MN 210 and thats closed from about 60 miles west to about 25 miles east.

I was very happy how easily my 2N with front blade kept the driveway clear with the same snow. I wouldn't even want to attempt it with a rear blade though.

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see

I was out of town when the big snow hit and came home to 10" of wet snow that had been driven over for a couple of days. The 9N and back blade got the job done but it sure took a while. This is my first winter plowing with this tractor and I am impressed. Even with unweighted tires and no chains it got the job done. I tried pushing in reverse and got nowhere but I could pull a mountain of snow before the tires slipped.
