Thanks for your replies. I found a 12-6V resistor advertised for this purpose. My concern for damage came from an experience with a neighbor's 8N which he described as "burnt to a crisp". Don't want to risk that. |

| An 8N would not have that gauge plus any it would have would not be hurt by 12 volts. That said my 841 had a working fuel gauge when I got it and it was set up as 12 volts but do not know if it had been changed or what ever. A simple ballast resister like say an O'Reilly's VR-1 would do the trick if it was needed |
