'Back in the day' when I had my farm, I had a chicken coop surrounded by 6' high chicken wire (duh) and the top was also covered by same (area 6' x 12'), however there were some gaps between the sides and top and we lost a few hens. One morning a pal that was visiting cried "there is something going on at the chicken coop!!" We went out and found a Great Grey Owl in the enclosure with the remains of one of my layers in his/her fist. My pal jumped in, captured the owl (I had to use a bunch of temp stiches for his effort). End of story is, we kept the Owl for about 3 hrs., gave it a stern talking to and released it - never came back to my knowledge. Boring story, yep. True- yep. |

| GGO is pretty cool, even if it did eat some of your chickens! |
