If it were mine, I would remove the PTO shaft and pump to clean it out real good. However, if you have never removed the pump on one of these tractors, I recommend getting some help from someone who has done it. It is both messy and tricky to disconnect the control valve from the fork and also takes some skill to reconnect it.

| Anyone have a photo or some tips on how the pump connects to the linkage? My '39 came with the pump out of the tractor, and I cant seem to figure out how it all goes together.
