Yes, it's a Military engine. The block looks to be the same as my old engine. I'll need to use my old Bell Housing since the starter is to low on this one. So I'll have to move the oil canister or use the one off my old engine which is the screw on type filter. All the same ports are there as on my old engine. Has a lifting eye on the head for lifting it. I can use any thing that was on my old engine on this block from what I can tell. So I don't see where I would run into problems. You are the second one to say they will be internally different. The other guy didn't reply when asked how. What would the be? Crank turned to different dementions, Rods heaver duty. Different cam? or what. I can't see how this engine will be any different than the one that was in it other than a little larger bore size. |

| Could be little or nothing different to it or could be a lot of stuff. When you deal with something that was Military you run into what is called Mil spec and if that is so which it may or may not be depending on the age of the engine. Mil spec stuff causes some very odd and off the wall things that have to meet specs made just for the military and believe me even hammers can have to meet mil spec and believe it or not toilet seats |
