As in over the long run it may in fact cause burned valves by the timing being off but that could take many many hour of operation. Your call as it could be as simple as some one using a points hold down bolt that is way to long and that can mess up timing. But as others have said the way your coming at this only serves to make it so people will not want to help you help your self.
