Topic: 9N Loader extra hydraulics?

  I have a 1940 9N with a sauder loader. I'm not sure if these parts go with the loader or not. There is a Tee on the line that goes from the test port to the loader, and it plumbs the fluid back up, through a pushbutton valve, and into the reservoir. What does this line do? When you push the button it lets the pressure off the loader, but it works the same without having to push the button.. I plugged the Tee and tried running the loader, it makes a squealing noise so I stopped running it and I'm going to put it back together, but I'm just curious why is it there and how does it work? |

- First the spring loaded plunger (button) is supposed to be postioned under the quadrant lever to allow it push it down when you lower the lever. It permits better control of the loader descent than the quadrant alone provides.
- This setup is used for single acting lift cylinders and a trip bucket. If you have something else we need to see some pictures of the loader and it's hydraulics
- You have to chain the lift arms down to get pressure to the test port. I assume you know that and that is how you attempted to run the loadr
- Does the loader have it's own control vlave someplace outside your pictures? If so post a picture of how it connects to the test port.
