Hey..........I cannot afford a megometer for "home self testing". However, my hand held telephone, 900 Mhz. starts getting loud hummms as I get closer than 2 feet from an EMERSON 15 yr. old radar range.I stated that this radar range is NO LONGER qualified in the galley's commissary. FCC clearances have EXPIRED. We lost the TSO for the equipment. Am I right about what I will say to WALMARTS when I purchase a $59.00 unit, test the same procedure, and return if it fails its test??????? John,PA Former Raytheon (AMANA) service tech. FACTORY |

| John........CLEAN yer radar range door GASKETS. They are susceptible to folding over from sloppy house keeping and burned food and leaking hi-power radar waves. You may wanna put tin-foil in yer jockey shorts to protect yer family jewels. ........Dell |

| | I put the LEAD apron on when heating up my 3 day old coffee......Royal Blue "COLORADO" mug. Then I put my new china imported BOROSCOPE in the little hole where the light bulb sets. However, SHARPIE is on the SINGER SEWING stand, now. BRASS rods fer welding-up MS. Singer. Kodiak is now not in the right side at the DRUG store that never wants to stop selling me my PALL MALL LIGHTS in the NAVY BLUE box with the rounded corners. Rember dem round corners kept the "silk whites" from wearing out. Reynolds family member said "here are YOUR new "Security enhanced FAA credentials" . Lifetime warranty, for sure, this time. Have a good evening, SIR. Thanks, John,PA |

| | Two feet is pretty close as far as radio transmissions go, but I would not be tempted to stand close to the Emerson while it was working. A radio receiver, like your hand-held telephone, is a pretty sensitive radio wave tester. It will be affected by some very slight radio waves, but will probably ignore a wide spectrum of frequencies. The Emerson must be putting out a frequency near the operating frequency of the phone, or some harmonic of that frequency. |
