Thanks for all your help in the past. I have a "52 8N that will leak gas from the carb while it"s sitting, turned off and, sediment bowl off. Not alot, (judging from the ground), but enough that the carb is covered and cant see the source. What should I look for? Thank you for any advise.

with sed bowl off.. there is still gas standing in the downpipe.

my guess is a bad needle / seat connection..

#1 are you 100% sure it is gas not condensation because this time of year condensation is common on stuff. #2 to make sure it is in fact gas take the fuel line off the carb and set something under it and let it sit that way for say 3 hours then check to see if you do in fact have gas dripping with the fuel shut off turned off. If you do then you need to replace the sediment bowl assembly with a good one as in not one form TSC but a place like NAPA etc. #3 if you do not have gas in the catcher then refer back to #1 Then post back what you find

Not sure I understand how gas gets to the carb if sediment bowl is turned off. I would try turning off the sediment bowl and allowing the tractor to run out of gas. If you still leak gas then you need to check the sediment bowl vaslve to see why it isnt shutting off.

With the info provided I'd say either a damaged gasket or a piece of dirt between the needle valve and seat.
You might check upstream and see if your cap vent is open if you have a vented cap. A plugged vent would increase pressure in the tank and force gas past the needle valve and seat. This was the issue with my '48 when I was trying to get it running.
Good luck.
