Well, I think he was making a bit of a joke - different kind of head....do you think that the same stuff you use to do a radiator flush might work?
I somewhat doubt CLR would do much - probably need some industrial strength stuff to shift that - then there is the risk of loose gunk getting into the water pump and jamming that up. Good luck.

| I had a feeling it was a funny, but I guess it went over my head. (Pun intended). The thought occurred it could just move to another spot. Since the pump is off I hope it would flush out. The radiator flush from Prestone uses sodium citrate and says it isn't acidic. CLR says not to get it on your flesh so I figure it might be stronger. Could be wrong. I'm leaning toward muriatic acid but would water it down. DON TX |
