I purchased a nice little Toyota corolla CE for my daughter - it was filthy inside and out but after a day's worth of scrubbing and polishing it looks nice again - new hubcaps and some other cosmetic work and its looking good - so good that I am afraid it might get stolen as apparently these cars are quite in demand now due to good fuel economy.

On cleaning the car I noted a small black device in the footwell with a red light blinking on and off - there is the remainder of a sticker in the window which i have worked out says Karr car alarm - the car does not have central locking and it did not come with remote of any kind - PO said he had no idea about the alarm system - is there a way to re-activate this and get a remote for it? It obviously is doing something as it is blinking so must have power to it - I guess I can take it to local radio/alarm shop but just wondering if there is a simple way to re-activate this?
