| if I could get them both for 1k, I'd go for it.
if he balks about the 'antique/historical piece of equipment'
attached to the one, I'd tell him, he could keep that,
I just want the tractors.
can't lose money, ie local yard has the front tin clip off an 8N
in similar no rust thru condition for $400-450,
and he'll get it....
tin and fenders not rusted bad are in high demand here in the rust belt.
personally, I'd save them both.
probably stuck (which is a great negotiating tool)
It's really not that hard to get them loose.........usually :D |

| I can see why you might be confused. The guy is telling you one is a 9N. Yet they both look alike because they are both 8Ns. Hopefully you are out loading them up by now. Get them both. |
