Hey, thanks for all the replies. Just got back to working on it today. First of all, I changed that "F" to an "A". Got rid of the resistor. I had wondered why it had one for the approx 8 years I've owned the tractor, but figured the PO knew what he was doing. I've seen them on Chrysler type vehicles so figured it was ok. Electrics not my strong suit and since it wasn't broke, I wasn't gonna fix it! Next problem was carb. I had replaced the sediment bowl assy and the "L" type fitting going into the carb. I checked fuel flow with carb off and found that Sed bowl assy had problems. Fixed it and it starts and runs fine now. Oh, the other "F" wasn't really an "F". The original key switch was not working so I put a large toggle switch on it. Not original, but many things on the tractor are not and it works fine. Thanks for all your responses. You guys are great! Pete |

| Glad you got her running!
I would replace the toggle switch with a key switch when you can.
Too easy for kids to bump and start.
Also pretty easy to get bumped and left on to burn up points, coils, etc.
Happy tractoring! :) |
