I have been working on antique Ford cars and pickups for almost 50 years so I recognize most of the parts on my 9N. I carefully checked all the parts while the tractor was split. The throwout bearing, pressure plate and clutch disc look good. There is no slop in the throwout shaft and I repaired all the wear in the clutch pedal/brake rod. With the linkage adjusted all the way, it grinds and does not want to go in gear with the pedal down. What have I missed? |

| You say they look good, did you have it apart to make sure the clutch isn't stuck or did you just visually check them? It sounds like a stuck clutch to me,put it in gear and hold the clutch in and try rollig it and see if the clutch is releasing,if not you will have to get it started in gear and hit the brakes with the clutch held in to break it free. |

| assuming it's new clutch and not an oil plate that is sticking.. could the bearing be seized? |
