cannot shift without turning down the rpm's to about 600 and
pushing the clutch pedal up and down to get something to
release and I can hear it when it does and then I can shift. any
idea what is hanging up???THX

Not carb cleaner but brake cleaner spray. The brake cleaner stuff is made to remove oil etc and not leave any thing behind but the carb cleaner on the other hand can hurt the clutch disk and make it swell

Jeff.......won't hurt, iff'n yer clever and bend the plastic spray straw into an "U" and spray away with non-toxic BRAKE cleaner, whole can should help. Iff'n the plastic straw squirts off and falls into the tranny cavity, it won't hurt 'nuttin'. It will drain out the cotter-keyed drain holes ........Dell

deffinately sound slike sticky clutch.. is the bellhousing drain open? oil coming out. oily clutches will stick and grab like that.

blocking the clutch will help.

Sounds like the pressure plate is sticking to the flywheel and ten breaking loose due to rust or gunk. Block the clutch pedal down when you park it to prevent sticking in the future. If you ride or slip the clutch some the next time you run it you may be able to burn off whatever is causing it to stick. It would still be a good idea to block the clutch down even if it starts to work correctly.
