I was just wondering how you guys are running your rear light wiring....

Where the heck do you run the wiring to keep it from getting hung up, pulled off or ripped out?

When I bought my 8N it was run through several (empty)bolt holes.

I reinstalled the bolts as one would do but now there is the question, how is the wiring originally run from the dash to the rear light?

Any help would be great.

Thanks guys.

IIRC, probably not.

Lights were a dealer installed option.

Not installed in the factory.

However there should be a diagram that shows the

correct bolts in the housings.

Depended on who was installing the lites. My 51 8N had cloth covered wire comming from the switch, between the dash support and the tool box to the right side, clamps under 2 trans cover bolts, through the trans-diffy housing holes, clamp under one hyd. top cover bolt, cross under the top link spring, tied to the left brake rod, routed behind the fender up to a hole in the fender behind the lite bracket, into the lite.
Based on what I've seen at many shows, wiring was "git r dun".

Is there a resource that shows the factory routing and placement of the clips/hangers?

Empty bolt holes? The hole that the wiring runs through where the transmission connects to the rear end housing is not an empty bolt hole. It is made for the wiring to run through. There is not supposed to be a bolt there.

OK, thanks for the info.

I bought a second 8N and all the holes had bolts running through them so I just figured the empty ones had bolts in them at one time.

Thanks again.
